Policies

Curious about what to expect when you visit Knockout, A Hair Studio? Please review important policies regarding our services.

Haircut Service Policy

All new haircut guests, please submit a virtual consultation to ensure you’re scheduled for the amount of time necessary for your beautiful head of hair.

There is a four month maximum between Returning Guest sessions. Longer between visits will require a New Guest Session to allow for fully reshaping your hair.

Please arrive with hair down, detangled, and fully dry with minimal product. If you’re unable to detangle your hair, we will need additional time and you’ll be charged accordingly.

No buns, braids, tangles or puffs. Hair must be in its natural state so we can fully understand your curl pattern. Day two of your style is great!

Custom color service policy

Color appointments are reserved for returning guests only. Receiving a New Guest Session before a color session allows us to ensure your hair is healthy and prepared to receive a color service as well as discuss your haircolor goals and preplan for your exciting new look!

Returning guests 4-8 weeks out from their last service will be asked to use Innersense detox hair mask prior to their haircolor appointment ensuring optimum color performance.

Cancellation / No-Show Policy

The staff at Knockout, A Hair Studio would greatly appreciate any cancellations be made at least 24 hours before your appointment time.

Appointments canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time incur a late-cancel fee of 50% of service cost.

No-shows incur a no-show fee of 100% of the appointment cost.

When you reserve an appointment with us that time is yours and only yours. When a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice it is very difficult to fill it, that time and income is lost.

Our booking system, Boulevard, sends out an Appointment Confirmation 48 hours before your scheduled time. These notifications are sent via email and/or text depending on your settings. Even with these reminders, it is still up to you to put your reservation in your calendar.

Please be sure that the contact information we have on file is correct and that emails are not going to junk/spam.

late arrivals

Please call us if you know that you are going to be late for your appointment. We will do everything we can to still be able to give you the service you have booked, however if you are more than 10 minutes late we may not be able to complete your service and still be on time for our next client. If so we will need to reschedule your appointment and it will be considered a late-cancellation and subject to cancellation fees. For hair services, we may be able to skip a part of the service such as the blow-dry or haircut, but this will not change the price.

Return / Refund Policy

ON SERVICES RENDERED

There are no refunds for services rendered. If there is an issue all attempts will be made by your stylist to rectify the situation. Any issues must be addressed within 1 week of your original appointment.

A Change of mind about a color request does not constitute an issue, and adjustments will be treated as a new service. Please note, blonding often takes multiple sessions to achieve the desired goal while maintaining the health of your hair.

ON RETAIL PURCHASES

We want you to love our products as much as we do! If you’re not satisfied with  your recommended at home haircare, please return it within 60 days in like new condition for an exchange of equal value.

Longevity

We will advise you on best practices at home to maintain your hair color. Improper care or using products not recommended by your stylist can result in rapid color fading and we cannot guarantee the results.

All color clients are required to receive a new guest session or in-person consultation before scheduling a color service. This way we can ensure the hair is prepared appropriately for the service and the guest is scheduled for the correct service.
